CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Curriculum years 7 to 12

Mount Barker High School offers a comprehensive curriculum catering to all our students’ aspirations. From year 7, they are introduced to specific pathways designed to provide focused learning while enjoying appropriate flexibility to ensure choices are not restricted in the future.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Middle school

Students in years 7 to 9 engage in the Australian Curriculum, developing subject content, general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities.

The new South Australian Curriculum is currently under development and is expected to be fully implemented by 2027. The South Australian Curriculum is aligned with the Australian Curriculum but places a strong emphasis on developing capabilities and dispositions within its content. Supporting our students in developing deep content knowledge, high-level skills, and authentic dispositions helps ensure they thrive and prosper at school and beyond.
